Harvest Grows with New Partner, Associate and CFO

LOS ANGELES (January 17, 2023)

Harvest LLP, a growing premier commercial real estate law firm, announced three new team members: David Levine, Steven Jeppson and Julie Scher. Levine joins as a partner based in Los Angeles, while Jeppson and Scher are based in San Diego as CFO and Associate, respectively.

According to founding partner David Alvarado, each of the new hires demonstrates the firm's commitment to thoughtful and intentional growth. "David Levine is a well-respected, brilliant veteran attorney with a broad range of real estate experience who fits perfectly with Harvest's mission, vision and values. With decades of industry experience and particular expertise in the hospitality industry, Levine advises clients in a variety of matters involving real estate development, acquisition, construction, financing, land banking and joint venture transactions.  Prior to joining Harvest, he was a partner at Elkins Kalt Weintraub Reuben Gartside LLP, where his practice involved representing lenders and owners in mezzanine and senior secured financings, acquisitions and dispositions of real property, and structuring joint ventures.

As CFO, Jeppson is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic financial planning for the firm. His work focuses specifically on budgeting, planning and the development of key performance indicators that increase transparency and productivity through robust financial analysis.

Scher has represented a variety of clients across a wide array of businesses, including the commercial real estate, life sciences and healthcare industries.  At Harvest, her practice is focused on representing commercial real estate landlords in real estate-related disputes, as well as real estate owners, lenders and court-appointed receivers in workouts, bankruptcies and other high-stakes disputes.  Prior to joining Harvest, she practiced at Norton Rose Fulbright and Foley & Lardner LLP.
