Michael Olinik, Senior Counsel

Harvest LLP is pleased to announce the addition of seasoned litigator Michael Olinik to its team. With over 15 years of litigation experience and a reputation for delivering strategic, results-driven counsel, Michael brings a client-first mindset and deep legal insight to our growing litigation practice.

Known for his clear communication and practical approach, Michael helps clients navigate complex disputes with confidence. His ability to distill legal complexities into plain, actionable advice makes him a trusted advocate. His practice focuses on:

  • Commercial real estate litigation, including disputes involving non-judicial foreclosure sales
  • Commercial landlord-tenant matters
  • Business litigation and partnership disputes
  • Appellate advocacy in state and federal courts
  • Mortgage-related litigation and class actions
  • Pre-litigation strategy and dispute resolution

Michael is particularly recognized for his work in emerging areas of California real estate law, especially novel litigation issues under California Code of Civil Procedure ยง 2924m, which governs procedures in non-judicial foreclosure sales. He brings extensive experience in all phases of litigation, from early negotiation through trial and appeal. His courtroom background spans California state courts, federal district courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Prior to joining Harvest, Michael founded and led his own litigation-focused practice. He began his career at Reed Smith LLP in Philadelphia and later served as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Bernard Skomal in the Southern District of California. He has practiced law in California since 2013.

Michael earned his J.D. at Villanova University School of Law where he was awarded the Steven P. Frankino Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Administrative & Editorial Contributions to the Villanova Law Review while serving as an editor. He earned his B.A. in Economics and Government from the College of William and Mary.
