We are pleased to announce that Cheryl Nieman Brechlin has been promoted to partner at Harvest LLP. Her elevation reflects her outstanding contributions to the firm and her dedication to delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Cheryl's practice focuses on complex real estate and corporate transactions. She represents developers, property owners, homebuilders, businesses, and institutional investors across a broad range of matters, including retail, office, and industrial leasing, purchase and sale transactions, debt and equity financing, and construction and development projects. Having advised both institutional landlords and sophisticated tenants in commercial lease negotiations, she possesses an invaluable understanding of the interests and priorities on both sides of a transaction.
Cheryl began her legal career as a litigator at Kasowitz LLP in New York City. There, she handled high-profile matters spanning real estate, contracts and securities claims. This litigation foundation gives her a competitive edge in anticipating and addressing potential disputes before they arise, a quality that sets her apart in the transactional space.
Since leaving Kasowitz LLP, Cheryl has practiced law at top Southern California real estate law firms. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including being recognized among the "Women of Influence - CRE Legal Counsel" by ALM/GlobeSt (2025), "Leaders of Influence in Commercial Real Estate" by the San Diego Business Journal (2025), and "Ones to Watch: Real Estate Law - San Diego," by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America (2022 and 2023). Cheryl obtained her B.A. in Business Administration from George Washington University, and her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center, participating as a member of NAIOP, and volunteering with A New Life Rescue, where she regularly fosters dogs and supports the organization’s rescue and adoption efforts.
Please join us in congratulating Cheryl on this well-deserved achievement.
